Cartogram

A cartogram of military spending. The U.S. spent $353 billion on arms in 2002, out of a world total of $789 billion.

Disturbing and true... I like how the diagram also seems to address America's rising obesity problem. Can a country give itself an insulin shot?

One thing I miss from this colorful chart is our european and asian friends...

That is a scary thought but on the other hand, I like having the most arms in the world! ;o)

The U.S. spends the most on arms for several reasons, the U.S. has the most technologically advanced weapons in the world, the U.S. always lends a helping hand when someone (read: anyone, even those who hate the U.S.) and freedom comes with a price.
